ADULT + TEEN CHALLENGE
Teen Challenge Northern Virginia Men's Home is a 4 - 6 month residential recovery program assisting adult men in gaining freedom from drug and alcohol addiction and the life-controlling problems associated with it.
Residents work to overcome self-destructive patterns associated with their substance abuse while developing positive life skills.
beauty for ashes
women + Children's
Beauty for Ashes is 9 - 12 month residential Teen Challenge program for adult women with children.
We exist to provide a safe, stable, and loving home environment for women with life-controlling problems. We offer help, hope and healing to both mother and child. An effective and comprehensive Christian faith-based curriculum, life skills training, life applications, and Church and community involvement lead to mental, emotional, social, physical, and spiritual wholeness.
Our hope is to open a residential home in the Greater Richmond Region for men who are ready to leave their old life behind and start a new clean life found in Christ.
#hope804 is the name of our fundraising campaign to start the first and only Adult and Teen Challenge in Richmond, Virginia.
Please pray for us as we lead outreach teams in the Greater Richmond Region.
who we are
Adult and Teen Challenge North-Central Virginia is comprised of the Fredericksburg Men's Ranch and Beauty for Ashes Women and Children's Home. Both ministries exist to provide loving, stable home environments for adult men and women (with children) caught in the trap of addiction. Through biblical teaching, mentoring, education, training and spiritual direction, Adult and Teen Challenge North Central Virginia is seeing lives saved, transformed, and dedicated to the Lord everyday!
where we came from
Adult and Teen Challenge North Central Virginia was established in 2002 by Rev. Michael T. Zello and his wife, Cindy. Together, with their children, they answered the call of God on their lives to move from the Maryland side of Washington D.C., after 19 years of service to Maryland Teen Challenge, to pioneer this much needed work.
Now, Mike and Cindy serve as the Founders of Adult and Teen Challenge North Central Virginia. Both are advocates for addicts across the US.
